The 2015 edition of Unseen will be bigger, better and greater than before. The Westergasfabriek will stay the main center of the festival, but this year Unseen collaborates with many of the city’s institutions, academies, artists, and initiatives (including Volkshotel) using photography in innovative and unconventional ways.
Unseen X Volkshotel
We’re proud to be part of the festival programme with Image District. What to expect? Experiment, newly arisen artists and photography in a non-traditional way. Upcoming talents will show their interpretation of analog versus digital photography and use Volkshotel as their playground. So drop by, grab a Volkspils, meander through the exhibition, shine a light in the dark at Doka or tune in to artist talks.

Throughout Amsterdam
The extended Unseen Festival will take place at more than 38 locations throughout the city of Amsterdam. Here are two tips:
Tip: Unseen Book Market
One of the many cool things of the festival is the Unseen Book Market. There will be over 60 participants, ready to share the latest and greatest in the photo book industry. Expect book launches and signings, so be the first to discover new publications and meet the people making them. Definitely something to check out!

Tip: Photo food
If you love photos and food, you are in for a treat: newly introduced this year are the Artist Recipes: a dining experience where various chosen artists will determine the menu for the evening. The dinners will be organised at Westergasterras, where the recipes and the link to the artist’s body of work will be the main topic of the evening.
