Even though Noah Baumbach is predominantly known for his box office success ‘Marriage Story’ his compelling family drama ‘The Squid and the Whale‘ already demonstrated his intelligent and vivid way of filmmaking in 2005. This is a piercingly honest, acidly witty look at divorce and its impact on a family. The cherry on top comes from the unmistakable touch from Wes Anderson who supported Baumbach in creating this fine piece of film.
