Pride in Amsterdam
Colour, music, joy, and the occasional glitter explosion. During Pride Week, the city shows its softest, boldest, loudest self, and everyone’s invited. From canal parades to quiet moments of protest and celebration, there’s something to stumble into on every corner. It’s big-hearted, open to all, and a reminder that being yourself should never need an explanation.

SAIL 2025
Once every five years, Amsterdam’s IJ fills up with tall ships, tiny sloops, and everything in between. You don’t have to know anything about sailing, just show up, look up, and let it wash over you. It’s chaotic, it’s charming, and it’s summer at its most seaworthy.
August 20th till the 24th
De Parade
De Parade is a theatre festival first, but there’s plenty more to stumble into. Think short plays in small tents, good food, strong drinks, and a carousel that get’s more fun the older you get. Some people come for the art, some stay for the buzz, most do a bit of both.
July 25th till August 10th
Circusbende
Circusbende lands in the Erasmuspark with circus acts, live music, theatre, and a strong sense of organised chaos. It’s made for kids, but just as fun if you’re a grown-up who don’t fully commit to that title. Expect a mix of magic and mischief, with something happening in every corner of the park.
August 28th till the 31st
The Roof of the City
Climb up to the rooftop of De Nieuwe Kerk and see Amsterdam from a whole new angle. A winding route through a 17th-century staircase and up a scaffold brings you eye to eye with the skyline. From the Westerkerk to the A’DAM Toren, the city is laid bare, rooftops, cranes, palaces and all.

Amsterdamse Bos Canoe Rental
Paddle your way through the Amsterdam Forest and feel the city drop away with every stroke. It’s peaceful, it’s adventurous and it’s green. Great for kids, even better for grown-ups.
