Yonah de Beer creates abstract art that flips assumptions upside down, questioning what came first: the object or your interpretation of it. These works actively resist categorization by society, time, or rigid standards of beauty, making them a natural fit for Pride at Volkshotel. They are here to celebrate queerness, break boundaries, and claim space.
Thursday July 23rd // Love Lives Here: Queer love and family in picture // Canvas
From July 23rd, Canvas is hosting Love Lives Here, a photo series by Laurien Riha. She captured seven queer Dutch couples in the mundane, everyday spots that actually mean something to their relationships. The mix spans from the absolute OGs who tied the knot back in 2001, when the Netherlands became the first place on earth to legalize same-sex marriage, to fresh newlyweds doing things their own way. No forced sentimentality, just a very real, intimate look at love and family entirely on their own terms.

Coco Coquelicot, a DJ for over ten years, co-founder of Relate Radio, and a Narrative Scholar at the University of Groningen. Fresh off presenting her groundbreaking research on storytelling in DJ sets at ADE and Paris, Coco is bringing her expertise straight to the underground.
