Oldest buildings in Amsterdam ⛪
Do you want to dive a little more into the history of the city? At OudeKerksplein 23 you will find De Oude Kerk, the oldest building in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, you cannot enter because of COVID-19, but definitely do walk around the Red Light District, because here you will find even more old buildings. For example, at Warmoesstraat 90 you will find the oldest house in the city and at Zeedijk 15-1 you will find the oldest cafe.
Public art 🎨
Are you a great art lover and do you miss trips to museums? Fortunately, Amsterdam also has a lot of public outdoor art. On the website of the Municipality of Amsterdam, you will find an overview of all works of art that can be found throughout the city.

Food walks 🍲
If you enjoy walking and eating, we recommend taking a food walk. There are various options, such as de stadswandeling 020, restaurant wandeling and there is even an oyster walk. Bon Appétit.
Goat farm in Amsterdamse Bos 🐐
In the middle of the Amsterdamse Bos you will find an organic goat farm, where goats, chickens, cows, pigs, a horse run round. At the moment you can’t enter the stable and playground, but it’s still a fun place to visit when you’re around. Besides, the farm shop is still open, which sells goat cheese, dairy, meat, and also delicious organic icecream!

Hot tubs in Volkshotel 🛀
What’s better than ending a day full of activities in a hot tub? Exactly, not much. On the rooftop of Volkshotel, you’ll find Badplaats. This is the place to sweat out your hangover in a sauna or hang out till your fingers shrivel in one of the hot tubs. All with a view over the city. Do note that Badplaats is currently only accessible for hotel guests.
Movie screenings in Volkshotel 🎥
Cinephiles will definitely enjoy themselves under our roof. Every day of the week hotel guests are welcome to join us for a movie screening in the Truus/Fransje room, of course with very limited capacity and enough space for everyone.
Muziekgebouw Up Close
Every Thursday and Sunday you can watch a live stream where top musicians share their favorite music in a personal and intimate setting. This stream can be followed on the website of Muziekgebouw and can also be viewed on YouTube.
