Upcycled Pride flag by Dide Verkerk // 25 July // Volkshotel & Werkplaats
Dide Verkerk turns waste into bold, upcycled garments and wearable protest pieces. Pieces that celebrate imperfection and genderfluidity. Their work pushes against systems and invites people to stand out in their most authentic, raw form. During Pride Week, Dide will translate this spirit into a one-of-a-kind patchwork flag on our windows.
Pride Window Drawing by Lucas Braak // 25 July – 3 August // Werkplaats
Lucas Braak mixes color, materials, and ideas, moving between soft, playful, and a little bold. During Pride Week, they’ll bring that same energy to our windows.
Queer Digital Detox // 27 July // Riet
Queer Unplugged invites you to Queer Digital Detox: a day all about mindful tech use, real connection, and radical self-care for queers and friends. Expect a few hours of unplugging, socialising, and watching queer short films, all without your phone. A chance to slow down, look up, and really see each other. Less scroll, more soul.
Queer Gym // 28 July – 1 August // Riet
Amsterdam’s first queer gym, WERQ, is taking over Riet with four Pride workouts. Strength, Yin Yoga, and kickboxing. All open to queers and allies who want to move, sweat, and feel good without the binary nonsense. No rules on outfits, no judgment, just good vibes, space to be yourself, and maybe even a little dance between sets.
Signmaking workshop by Queertopia // 30 july // Werkplaats
Join a signmaking workshop where you can create your own protest board and get inspired to march. You’ll hear more about the Trans Pride Walk and get ready to join in. On August 3rd, the walk celebrates Trans Joy, Visibility, and Solidarity. Everyone’s welcome, allies included.
Doka Studio x Jezabel // 2 August // Doka
Jezabel is a queer space that celebrates expression through dance, drag, performance, and all things funky. From disco and italo to house. It’s a stage for both established and emerging queer voices in the Netherlands. For them, queerness isn’t just about expression but also a powerful form of protest, and that spirit runs through everything they do.
