Volkshotel and 24classics.com present ‘Perquisite vs Dudok’, a classical concert on a cozy location.
During ‘Perquisite vs. Dudok’, Dudok Kwartet and drummer Jelle Huiberts perform ‘String Quartet nr. 1’ by componist/producer Perquisite. The concert takes place at Doka, the underground cocktailbar located in the basement of Volkshotel. Perquisite started as part of the hip hop duo Pete Philly & Perquisite, composed soundtracks for movies like ‘Hartenstraat‘ and last year his collaboration with singer Kris Berry became a big success. ‘String Quartet nr. 1’ is his first classical composition, created because of his love for chamber music.
Graduated with the highest prices at the Dutch String Quartet Academy, Dudok Quartet is seen as one of the most promising quartets of Europe. Their love for contemporary music already made them collaborate with musicians like Mark-Anthony Turnage and Kaija Saariaho. Tonight they will also play ‘String quartet in F major’ by the famous composer Ravel.
Thursday is sold out, there are tickets available for the concert on Sunday.
‘Perquisite vs. Dudok’ is sponsored by Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst (AFK).
