The 7 key records of: Iggy P

Canvas

Due to Canvas being located on our 7th floor, we ask DJs who are on our bill about their seven all time favourite records in ‘The 7 key records of’.

Iggy P really likes and plays a lot of different genres and it’s difficult to put a finger on his taste. ADE writes about the Amsterdam born and raised DJ as follows: “Probably the best way to describe the style Iggy P plays is: diverse and danceable. Main goal: make the crowd go wild with the music he adores and you don’t know”. For us, he shares his 7 favourite tracks to give an indication of what’s going on in his record collection.

Labrys – Fire
US private press boogie/pop at it’s best. The whole album is ace. So lovely…

The Dance – In Lust
Probably my favorite post-punk record. Monstrous bassline and sloppy drums. 10/10

Bally Sagoo – Hey Jamalo (Def Mix)
Weirdly this was one of my first records I ever bought. Top shelf Indian bhangra/electro for the dancefloor.

Mr. Mu – Desprezo
Brazilian hiphop favorite.

It – Give It Up (Dub)
Extremely hot and rare Italian house track. Party music. Unfortunately not in my collection yet…

Music Sound Generation – Modern Generation (Instr.)
Austrian Synth-Pop bomb, just uploaded it on my YouTube channel @Up Down. Can’t get enough of those piercing synths.

Djalexdelpo4 – 1111111111
Progressive UK house, ’92. 🙂
