Outsider’s Guide: Weekend highlights

BY VINCENT REINDERS – The coming weekend in Amsterdam looks very nice and I’m quite bummed out that I can’t be a part of it. Unfortunately I’m flying to Los Angeles right now, where it’s almost 30 degrees. So sad right? I’m on a mission to help Red Bull find musical talent that they can support in 2016, I will also see some shows by Big Sean, Badbadnotgood and many more. Fun! But this doesn’t mean that you should miss out on partying it up in Amsterdam. Here are my tips for the coming days.

This Friday Studio 80 will welcome the Swedish super heroes from Studio Barnhus. The boss man Axel Boman and Kornél Kovács (you might know his summer smash hit Pantalon) will definitely light up the dark, main room. None other than my man Jorn Liefdeshuis will man the second room.

All nighters
Two of my other friends are running an all nighter this Weekend. On Friday: Elias Mazian will be the single star of Chicago Social Club and on Saturday, FS Green will play a six hour set at Disco Dolly. These will be some good nights guaranteed!

On Sunday there’s another amigo and 22tracks techno tiger waving the flag, in Amsterdam East at Cruquiusgilde. He and Sandrien will run the very popular gay night “Is Burning”. It’s sold out but you might be lucky to find some tickets on Ticketswap.

Now, will I leave you behind without some music tips? Never!
// My favorite hip hop track of this week.
// The awesome ‘Benny Sings’ song just premiered on my Relax playlist.
// I’m so jealous of the programming of Studio Brussel, I wish a Dutch radio station would dare to give freedom every night to the DJs, just like Kong with House or  Lefto with hiphop, beats & funk.
