When did your love for vinyl begin?
It all started in the club. I was always really impressed when dj’s were playing vinyl. So when I was 24 years old, my brother in law got me an old school record player (Lenco) and from that moment I was addicted and started to collect records. One year later I bought myself two turntables.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Definitely a record from the 60’s. I don’t know exactly which one, but probably J.J. Cale, Lou Reed or the Beatles.
What’s your most precious vinyl record?
All of them! I’m a collector, so every vinyl I buy is special to me.
Why do you think vinyl is on such big revival?
You could compare it with vintage stuff, it’s also a big business. Vinyl is like an oldtimer, it looks and it sounds nice. Every vinyl has a story and the fact you can hold a record in your hand, makes music more interesting than when you play it digital. It’s a piece of art.
What are you proud of when it comes to Good Music Vinyl Market?
The fact that I make a lot of people happy. And the fact that there are a lot of cool sellers attending the market every edition.
What are your future plans with GMVM?
