For the first edition we teamed up with 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘇 𝗔𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗺, a true institution that promotes new Dutch film talent and up-and-coming filmmakers. By weekly screening shorts and pushing new Dutch cinema across festivals around the globe, they have managed to let new makers continuously share their stories. For this occasion they handpicked a very eclectic selection. So don’t hesitate: grab a ticket, lift off to the seventh floor of Volkshotel, get a bite and a cocktail, and enjoy one of the movie screenings 🌞 Your summer starts here!

Precariously walking a tightrope of varying genres and tones, 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮 provokes salient questions about sexual freedom and its relationship to faith. 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮 is directed by Shortcutz’ first Rutger Hauer Award recipient Paul Verhoeven. Prior to the feature 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀, a short visual experiment directed by Maarten Groen, will be screened.
