Doka is the place to lose yourself. Where die-hards, jet laggers and night owls come together. The basement where life happens in the dark. Cocktails are shaken and performers are obscure. This is where you can let things get out of hand and still remain invisible.
Our basement has a rich history. It used to be a dark room to develop the photos for newspaper de Volkskrant. Then after 42 years, it became Doka. A place for those who love the night. DJs from Amsterdam and all over the world made nights in DOKA legendary. From the start of Doka, it became a place for creative artists, night bloomers and locals.
Check out the end result of Jip Piet’s mural in Doka. Oh and one thing, sometimes his alter ego pops-up. Any idea which one is his alter ego?
