Bruno’s tip: The Waterhole

Each week our inside volk give their best tips on where to go in Amsterdam. This week Bruno from housekeeping tips us rock and roll kind of place: Waterhole, located in the city centre. Bruno: “This place has the perfect combination of good music and fun.”

Waterhole is a laid back place where they serve cold beers, you can play pool and check out live music all at once. With a happy-hour lasting from 12:00 – 21:00, they sure know how to get the vibe going. At night the place turns into a real party palace at night where you can easily swing them hips and meet a lot of new people.

Bruno often goes here with his partner in crime Ivan, to play pool and listen to the live acts. Bruno: “I’m really into rock music, and they always have some good upcoming bands playing.”

And according to Bruno there is one last reason the visit: “I really love sambuca and it’s so expensive everywhere in Amsterdam, but at Waterhole you can get 4 shots for €10.”

Who’s Bruno?
Coming from the deep south of Italy, Bruno (25) loves his cooking and football, but other than that he is also really into watching series. At the moment he is following about 15 series a week, but his all time favourite is definitely Breaking Bad.

Bruno is part of the housekeeping team, making sure the hotel is fresh and clean. He moved to Amsterdam quite spontanously, having never been here before and looking to improve his english skills (which are really quite good). His plan was to stay for 6 months only, but it seems that Amsterdam has won over his heart.
